Eleanor is Chairperson and Founder of Montfort Eurasia, an international strategic communications consultancy focused on Central Asia and the wider Eurasian region.

She has advised Uzbekistan’s largest private company on international communications as it prepared to raise international capital.Before founding Montfort Eurasia, Eleanor worked at a leading London communications agency, where she helped develop its litigation and disputes practice across Europe. Prior to entering communications, she worked at a corporate intelligence firm specialising in litigation and disputes and advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals, with assignments spanning the CIS, India, Africa and the Middle East and North Africa. She has also worked at Euromoney Conferences.

For more than 11 years, Eleanor has served as a trustee of a charity in Georgia. She has spoken widely on the region, including at the United States Military Academy at West Point, and has monitored elections in Georgia, Armenia and Ukraine.

Eleanor holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Durham University and was awarded the Kathryn Davis Fellowship for Peace at Middlebury College in Vermont, USA. She has lived in Moscow and Tbilisi and speaks Russian
